A gateway is a type of pipeline reinforcement with a locking organ that moves progressively at a right angle to the direction of the working flow of fluid or gas. As a rule, valves work in two positions – openly and closed. But there are also valves that regulate the flow of water. True, their scope is very limited. They are mainly used in unmarked systems with small nominal pressure. The most popular variety of valves is flange.

Due to their simplicity of design, they work in a large pressure range. Therefore, the scope of their use is very wide: starting with economic water supply, ending with industrial – on pipelines for transport, gas, oil, oil products, etc.
